So I was listening to the Engadget Podcast. Last week's Podcast included a clip of everyone saying hi from Microsoft's Mobius event.

It's very cool to finally hear the voices from the websites I've visited on a regular basis for the past 3, 4 years, like The Gadgeteer, PDA Buyers Guide, Palm Infocenter, InfoSync World, etc etc... the list goes on and on. It's just lovely!

Speaking of Podcasting, I'd love to start my own. Sometimes I quite enjoy the form of conversation you hear on radio talk shows, and I've been told by large numbers of folks that I'd be a great DJ. That's not going to become a career mainly because I hate taking phone calls. Why can't I just play songs/invite friends/blabber with a sidekick... well in some places on Earth, DJs are required to take phone calls, whether it's song requests or discussion. Hence podcasts would be an awesome way for me to experience and learn the aspects of radio production (albeit in a very amateur way of course). But the problem is I wouldn't know what to talk about. I'll either have to try get acquaintances who don't really know me (are you reading this, studly Chris Kilroy?), or I'll have to keep myself fired up for a 30-minute discussion of why Australian men are so hot, recent immigrants not included (would you like to do this Droo?).

There's the Dawn & Drew Show, so perhaps we can co-conquer the podcastosphere(?) with the Strat & Droo Show (Strat being me). Bwahahaha!

I feel terrible.

After all that puritanic stance on using CSS and deprecating every "flab" of the old HTML tags (say, font), I just found a number of sites that scream usability, beauty, blah blah on the front page, and then unabashedly feature tables as their pages' key building blocks.

I feel cheated.

As a figure of speech, I. want. my. money. back.

and I'm pulling off every site I've been working on, so I can re-do them with the addition of beautiful tr and td tags that I know so well.

To the advocates: If you have to shout to be heard, it's probably because you're not worth listening to.

It's distinctly not nice to accuse fellow human beings of being less than honest. When I say that, it usually means I'm going to do it anyway :P

Apart from the comment on the sarcasm that ended up sounding like irony, the reviewer took the word straight out of my mouth when he commented on that carefully rehearsed wide-eyed-ness (innocence??) on the cover.

The experience I have is that when some of us try to talk about ourselves, we slowly unravel and as layers of language pile up, end up further and further away from how we really feel. Well this isn't really a matter of insincerity, but rather that the person could use some improvements in his expression.

I can't say I'm free from it yet even after years of hard work, but I'm working on it. And I'm known to destroy entire pieces of work because I think even I would laugh at it if I were in a happy mood.

On a different note, I've been thinking about starting my own podcast. What would I talk about though?
